New York seeks a Senior
Accountant – for their General
Accounting Department. This position will contribute as a “technical
lead,” having a thorough knowledge of the organization’s systems, and
the skills to modify or develop new procedures to meet specialized
needs. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of
finance/accounting-related professional experience, with a significant
background within the property and casualty insurance industry; an
undergraduate degree in a financial discipline; a CPA or equivalent
experience; an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and theory as
well as the ability to apply such specialized understanding; knowledge
of property and casualty internal and external accounting controls;
workflows and operating systems.
Thorough knowledge and experience utilizing financial software is
required, experience with Oracle financial systems and Freedom software
is preferred. Offering a very
