Performs advanced or specialized work that requires comprehensive
knowledge of accounting theory and principles, and more than average
seasoning. Responsibilities:
training, coaching and reviewing day-to-day work of accountants within
the Retirement Programs and Services team; contributes as technical lead
for the Pension Fund, preparing and reviewing journal entries and
performing related analysis for the retirement programs & services
businesses and for investment accounts; leads the partnership accounting
processes; leads and provides guidance to other Retirement Programs and
Services’ accountants (including investment accounting) regarding
policy, practice and approach to their responsibilities.
Reviews the journal entries prepared (including investment
accounting) and assists AVP with review of monthly reconciliations;
ensuring the completion (timely and accurate) of monthly account
reconciliations to support general ledger account balances; prepares and
reviews journal entries and specific reports for the Enterprise Wide
Projects; reviews Accounts Payable transactions & coding for accuracy &
completeness. Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent, and external
or internal audit experience. Thoroughly experienced in all aspects of
accounting in the pension and investment industries, such as would be
acquired with 6+ years in accounting positions. Salary $open. (CP5081*) |
