Responsibilities: The Head
of Risk Control & Management is responsible for the daily management of
all risk matters, including but not limited to: the calculation of daily
P&L for trading activities, developing processes, policies, and
procedures to mitigate threats to the bank’s capital, liquidity, and
reputation, and measuring, monitoring, and controlling risks related to
the capital market activities of the branch, independent of those who
conduct said activities. In addition, the Risk Controller is responsible
for oversight and monitoring of the operational risks faced by the
organization. The Vice President will evaluate and recommend changes to
the middle office system, develop processes and procedures to ensure the
pro-active management of risk, ensure that the accurate measurement of
risk, monitor, measure, and control daily risks against limits, verify
that market prices and the models used for revaluation purposes are
correct, and produce, verify and report daily risk and trading activity
information both locally to the Treasurer and General Manager and to
Head Office, in both routine and exception cases. The new Head of Risk
Control and Management should have a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics,
Statistics or other business major and minimum 5 years of managing the
banking risk control function as well as an excellent working knowledge
of financial/capital markets products, including dealing activity and
administration related to foreign exchange, money market and
derivatives. It is essential to have a proven ability to interact with
trading staff to ensure adherence to risk limits and to establish
