Head of Reinsurance opening in Georgia, Florida, or Illinois. Responsible for the end‑to‑end execution of the company’s reinsurance program, with primary accountability for reinsurance purchasing, data management, accounting oversight, and counterparty credit risk. As a P&C program carrier, this role is intentionally hands‑on and execution‑oriented, combining senior‑level deal leadership with operational ownership. The role manages a team responsible for reinsurance data ingestion, accounting, and credit monitoring, and serves as the company’s primary counterpart to reinsurance brokers and markets. Lead the design, placement, renewal, and optimization of all treaty and facultative reinsurance programs in partnership with the Program underwriters; execute placements aligned with CURO underwriting strategy, capital objectives, and program structures; own reinsurer and broker negotiations, capacity allocation, pricing, structure, and terms; own reinsurance data ingestion, validation, and governance, including bordereaux intake and normalization; ensure data quality sufficient to support underwriting, actuarial analysis, claims, accounting, and external reporting. Ideal candidate has 8–12+ years of reinsurance experience within a carrier, MGA, or reinsurance intermediary; hands‑on experience with reinsurance buying and execution; strong understanding of reinsurance data, accounting, and settlements; experience managing teams and building processes.
