Commercial line Manager/Operation Manager opening in Brooklyn, NY. Oversee all operations of the commercial lines departments consisting of the habitational, general lines and worker’s compensation teams; approve or disapprove PTO, schedules, and consult with the HR department as needed; oversee reception and any ancillary staff in the Brooklyn location; interview candidates for new hire and contribute to the job description templates based on the needs of the department; consult with the Brooklyn ownership team about terminations as needed; maintain an efficient work environment by adjusting book of business assignments as needed; conduct weekly renewal strategy and/or turnover meetings to discuss the weekly workload of each account team; analyze and distribute expiration and other book- of- business related reports as necessary. Ideal candidate has P&C License and 5+ years management experience within an insurance brokerage. Valid management experience will have included the ability to manage 10 plus staff members within a commercial line’s brokerage environment; strong understanding of Applied Systems Epic software (REQUIRED); experience with Applied Systems Epic reports and controls.
