Controller – Property & Casualty Insurance Agency in New Jersey. Work with the owner and Family Office CFO providing required financial statements and analyses for internal/external reporting; maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; oversees Agency and Employee licensing status/requirements; records cash and other bank activity daily; prepares billing, and various financial analyses as directed; prepares all monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations during month-end closings including reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances; ensures financial statements adhere to US GAAP standards. Ideal candidate is an MBA or CPA with 7+ years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced experience with financial modeling and team performances; hands on experience using business intelligence tools for financial statement compilation, modeling and dashboard reporting; solid understanding of ERP systems – hands on working knowledge is a must; advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, macros, complex formulas, v-look-up, etc.).
