Department Manager opening in Upstate, NY responsible for leading the Service Department, acting as a manager for a select book of business. This position offers the opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing company at its inception. Supervise account managers and assistant account managers daily activities. Evaluate employee’s performance on an annual basis. Assign accounts to individuals based on current account load and expertise. Available to assist/answer questions by members of the department. Provide Applied Epic training; provide training regarding insurance procedures and questions. Assist with developing policies and procedures. Monitor expirations to assure all renewals are processed and transacted. Support sales team. Assist with intake of claims. Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns. Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and service.
Ideal candidate has 5 years’ experience in commercial insurance, customer service or sales; college degree a plus; valid NYS P&C license required; knowledge of computer systems and operations required Salary $open.
