Insurance Customer Service Rep/Account Executive opening in Nassau County, Long Island, NY. Using your excellent problem-solving skills, you’ll be obtaining insurance quotes and shopping/ marketing renewals on behalf of existing and perspective clients to offer the insured the best possible price and coverages. Review renewals sent to agency from carrier and compare coverages and annual premium from expiring to renewal figures. Deal directly with carrier to have them answer any questions that may come up during the renewal process. Communicate with insured and maintain an open dialogue throughout the renewal process regarding the details of their upcoming policy renewal via email and telephone. You will be the main conduit between the agency, customers and the actual insurance carriers therefore you are a valuable/ integral connection between insurance customers and policy providers/ carriers. Your understanding of customer service skills will be essential in answering client questions, helping clients with payments, and following up with clients to ensure satisfaction. Your relationship building skill set will be put to use by fostering/ developing strong relationships with clients to maintain client retention. Your strong adherence to procedure will be necessary to obtain and update client information and assist clients with policy changes; Learning and understanding company insurance products. Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow-up to ensure resolution. Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents. Establish an in-depth amount of knowledge of insurance products and policy schedules. Providing customers with detailed information about policies and products. (cross-selling or multi-lining). Ideal candidate has College degree (not required although preferred); will need to be a quick learner and critical thinker; previous experience working as a customer service representative preferred; strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and Agency Management software knowledge; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent analytical skills.
