Regional Underwriting Manager opening in Upstate New York. Cultivating solid relationships with company agents and internal staff while working towards achieving the most optimal outcomes for policyholders; managing activities and development of underwriters in accordance with departmental objective and standards; achieving regional underwriting goals and objectives by providing guidance and direction to the regional staff regarding underwriting guidelines and identifying and rectifying the underwriting and book of business issues; achieving regional loss ratio and production goals for commercial lines of business. Ideal candidate is CPCU with 7+ years commercial underwriting experience; previous supervisory or management experience is required; Microsoft Office knowledge as well as the ability to work with internal company systems (WINS, ImageRight etc.). The ability to travel at least 25% of the time to meet with agents, conduct sales meetings, and develop customer relationships; valid driver’s license is required.
