Remote opportunity for VP, Insurance Claims Manager. Lead and manage a team in achieving high standards of productivity, operational efficiency and alignment of organizational goals; manage and monitor daily claim activities for all Insurance segments, including Excess Casualty, Property and Financial Lines; provide high level of technical expertise and oversight to staff Evaluate actual and potential liability exposures, and recommend accurate and timely reserves; examine new and existing claims, including the review of contractual wordings to prepare assessments of coverage and the analysis of potential exposure; collaborate with other functions across the company to provide periodic updates on claims; prepare management reports and lead monthly and quarterly claims meetings; identify opportunities for overall efficiency and process improvements. Ideal candidate is CPCU RPLU and/or other Associate in Claims; Law Degree required; minimum of 10 years’ combined legal and claims experience in progressively senior roles; claims experience required in managing high exposure US Financial Lines claims; legal or claims experience managing US Casualty and Property claims preferred; experience managing claims analysts/administrators or legal staff preferred; solid knowledge of contract terms and structures; superior negotiation and litigation management skills; significant complex problem-solving experience; knowledge of SICS, ImageRight or a similar system is advantageous.
